  2. Hi CT,

    HAPPY WESAK DAY!!

    Love your blog!

I read your back post comments on the use of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) to alkalize the body; you said: the alkalinity of baking soda will be neutralized as soon as it enters the blood stream due to buffering.
Baking soda is at times used by the medical community for the treatment of certain ailments such as... Metabolic acidosis: a condition in which there is too much acid in the body fluids. In certain circumstances, sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) may be given to improve the acidity of the blood.
Distal renal tubular acidosis: a disease that occurs when the kidneys don't remove acid properly into the urine, leaving the blood too acidic. Your doctor also may prescribe sodium bicarbonate to make your urine less acidic in certain conditions such as kidney stones. Sodium bircarbonate is also used in many cases of poisioning.
This can be found at :

This would tell me that the baking soda is not always neutralized, but actually makes it into the blood and body fluids, thus helping alkalize them.

It should be also noted, that one should keep check of the acid/alkaline balance in the body by means of litmus paper; because as with anything..."too much of a good thing can be bad." Although the body needs to be a little more alkaline when fighting cancer; being overly alkaline can lead to alkalosis.

I know you already do the litmus test...just want others to make sure and do the test also.

    Have a happy, healthful day!

  3. Dear RC,
There is a layer of external fluid that exists between the blood capillaries and the cells tissues. All cells in the body continually exchange chemicals (e.g.,nutrients, waste products, and ions) with the external fluid surrounding them. This external fluid, in turn, exchanges chemicals with the blood being pumped throughout the body.

Hence, the chemical composition of the blood (and therefore of the external fluid) is extremely important for the cell. If, for instance, the pH of the blood and external fluid is too low (too many H+ ions), then an excess of H+ ions will enter the cell.

The cancer cells are acidic but that does not necessarily means that the external fluid besides it is also acidic. The body has a wide array of mechanisms to maintain homeostasis in the blood and extracellular fluid. The most important way that the pH of the blood is kept relatively constant is by buffers dissolved in the blood. It is the kidneys that ultimately remove (from the body) H+ ions and other components of the pH buffers that build up in excess. Acidosis that results from failure of the kidneys to perform this excretory function is known as metabolic acidosis. However, excretion by the kidneys is a relatively slow process, and may take too long to prevent acute acidosis resulting from a sudden decrease in pH (e.g., during exercise).

Of course, it does not mean all of the bicarbonate or alkaline food that are consumed are neutralized, some amounts of it does get through but the penetration of alkalinity into all compartments of body are difficult.

Clinically, it has been demonstrated that cancers cannot thrive in an alkaline environment and if that were so, taking bicarbonate and of alkaline foods should cure most cancers. I really wish it works just like it said, consuming anything alkaline, then at least 80% of cancers can just be cured cheaply. I have been on a alkaline diet for 20 months now, my acidity level has just improved by a fraction only. This goes to show that this process is extremely slow. For normal person, they got plenty of time to allow for neutralization but for cancer patients, a life can be lost in just three months.

  4. Just wanna share a book with you.

Road to Beautiful is a true story of a young man whose promising career was abruptly halted after he was diagnosed with Stage Three nose cancer.

This is a story about one man's triumph over the fear of death, and the challenges he experienced in overcoming physical, mental and emotional anguish.

In 2006, when Gerard Khaw first discovered that he had cancer, his entire world was shattered but the managed to overcome it. Two years later, he suffered a relapse and was subsequently diagnosed with Stage Four liver metastases.

The medical fraternity termed the condition as "unusual" leaving his life to hang in the balance. During the long battle that follows, Gerard learned that the fight over cancer is "winnable" with divine power in Jesus.

This book chronicles the ups and downs that Gerard Khaw underwent, and the "wins" that he achieved in his fight over cancer. Despite the persistent odds against him, he refused to give up.

Even while undergoing treatment, Gerard continued to pursue his dream in obtaining an MBA. With God on his side, coupled with sheer determination and the will to win, Gerard Khaw eventually graduated with a Master in Business Administration from the University of South Australia in March 2011.

  5. This was reported in The Star today ref: http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2011/5/17/nation/8694181&sec=nation

Surviving stage 4 cancer is not easy especially under conventional medication and I congratulate him on his success. I am not discrediting him but would like to point out that he is not "cured" yet even in conventional medicine terms. Based on statistics in Singapore, the five year survival rate for nose cancer Stage 4 is 50-60%.

In his case there was a relapse. God aside, unless he understand the relationship between cancer relapse and life style changes, he is not out of the danger zone.

    I wish him long life.

  7. Hi, i first learnt of yor blog through a mutual friend, Kim Heng. I just check in occasionally. I must say I am impressed with your strength of mind. I hope I can develop the same strength een when I face lesser problems.

I read some comments above where people subtly introduce comments on God and stuff. To these people I request that you support CT and not abuse his vulnerability. You can remain faithful to your religious beliefs without trying to undermine those of another. Please have some human decency.
